IT SOFTWARE SALES EXECUTIVE - IT Solutions co.

Full sales cycle business to business sales position - ideally have IT, software or consultative sales experience.

£25 - £30k basic + uncapped OTE (realistic £50k in the first year) + 23 days hols (inc stats) + pension scheme + ongoing training, mentoring and coaching.

Central Birmingham location.

Our client is a well established and expanding IT solutions provider (due to success) based in Birmingham who supply specialist supply software across all industries and the Public Sector. Currently seeking an experienced and proven business to business sales professional who is keen to project their career to the next level and reap the rewards of joining a dynamic organisation at the forefront of its industry sector.

 

Role

A highly consultative full sales cycle business to business sales role based in central Birmingham successful applicants will be responsible for proactively targeting relevant clients to develop new business relationships. This role is 100% new business focused and predominantly phone based although occasional client visits could be arranged. The person will be responsible for the entire sales process from intelligence gathering and prospecting to negotiating and securing new major accounts. Selling specialist IT software solutions to senior decision makers and clients including Managing Directors; Procurement Directors and IT Directors across all industries and the Public Sector. The sales team is structured to ensure each individual has an understanding of what their clients need and as such all new recruits receive industry specific training as part of an excellent induction / training scheme. A highly customer focused, consultative sell requiring the ability to sell IT products and solutions based on relevance to the clients business and needs. Developing new business leads, proactively cold calling new companies and taking these through to close with the aim of establishing a long term client. Applying consultative sales and questioning techniques, creating and establishing need, promoting relevant benefits and closing sales. For a sales individual who is motivated by money, hard working and wants a career in Software.

 

Requirements

All candidates must possess the following:

 

  • Previous experience of full cycle sales in a professional business to business solution sales environment, accustomed to need finding and fact finding
  • You will have telesales experience gained within an IT Solutions or IT Software based environment. Candidates with IT Support or hardware experience could be considered.
  • Proven track record of target achievement, cold calling ability and excellent lead generation skills in order to develop an effective pipeline of new business.
  • An understanding of the steps of the sales process and how best to use your communication and negotiation skills to full ability
  • A proven background of working towards sales targets successfully, capable of articulating/quantifying this information.
  • Must have the drive and desire to build a career in software
  • Experience of selling to Director level in Private Sector (Blue chip) and or Senior manager in Public Sector is a must.
